During the month of October, 2023, Giordano Halleran & Ciesla, P.C. (“GH&C”) sent a notice to clients alerting them to the enactment of a new law titled the Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”). Click here to see the previous notice.
Four months have passed, and we thought that it would be a good idea to remind our clients of CTA obligations, particularly since existing entities (formed prior to January 1, 2024) are required by this law to make a filing with FINCEN by December 31, 2024.
Although we are prepared to provide you with advice and counsel as to your obligations under the CTA, GH&C will not be making the requisite filing with FINCEN for its clients. We will be pleased to provide you with the name of a third-party service provider in a position to assist in making the requisite filings with the FINCEN.
May we suggest that you not delay in making the appropriate arrangements to file with FINCEN. Failure to timely file carries with it fines and penalties.
